Biggs, Crane, Lake, Hamadeh Condemn Iran Missile Attack on Israel

Iran has all but declared war on Israel in a series of missile attacks on the Jewish State in retaliation for the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Several Arizona Republicans, including Representatives Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Eli Crane (R-AZ), along with Senate candidate Kari Lake (R) and Congressional candidate Abe Hamadeh (R), condemned the attacks and reaffirmed their support for Israel on X (formerly Twitter).

Rep. Crane's response was simple, "We need a return to 'peace through strength.'"

Rep. Biggs said, "Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism. We stand with our ally, Israel, as it fights to defend its sovereignty."

Hamadeh's statement was longer, saying, "Our ally Israel is under attack by a terrorist regime in Iran. Iran and its terrorist proxies have suffered immense losses over the past year, but they are becoming more unpredictable & dangerous. The United States must stand firm with our strongest ally in the Middle East."

Lake condemned the attacks in addition to Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), whom she said "supported the disastrous Iran Deal and voted AGAINST Israel’s Iron Dome. Once again, his priorities are all wrong."

"As our ally Israel is bombarded by missiles from Iran, it is protected by the miracle of national defense called the Iron Dome. Ruben Gallego supported the disastrous Iran Deal and voted AGAINST Israel’s Iron Dome. Once again, his priorities are all wrong. My heart goes out to Israel," Lake's full statement read.

Last November, Rep. Gallego voted against the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act. In a statement explaining his "no" vote, the Arizona Congressman explained that "The United States must stand by its ally Israel as they continue their war against Hamas in the wake of the terrorist group’s barbaric attacks. Tragically, this extreme, dangerous bill proposed by House Republicans would end up putting both Israeli and American families at risk. The bill sends the message that if we want to support our allies when they are attacked, including by our adversaries, we have to gut our own programs here at home. That sets a dangerous precedent – conditional aid to Israel – and it not only hurts our ally and friend but also harms the safety and security of Arizona families."
