Kari Lake (R) is once again running for statewide office in Arizona, and she believes that Arizonans are ready for a second opportunity at having President Donald Trump (R) in the White House. In the 2016 presidential election, Arizona voted Republican, but in 2020, the state voted for President Joe Biden (D).
Lake is suggesting that "Arizonans want a strong economy' under President Trump.
During an exclusive interview with Cactus Politics, when asked who were Arizonan voters, senatorial candidate Lake drew a distinction between President Biden and President Trump regarding Arizona, stating that President Trump's policies benefited Arizonans.

Lake asserted a very populist or centrist message that appears to transcend across political party lines, saying that Arizona voters "are like any other voter" that "want want common-sense solutions that will put them and their families first.
"Arizonans are hard working people. They're people who show up every day on the job. They want to make sure their job is still there. [Arizonans] wanna make sure when they got off their job, the money they made, they can afford to buy groceries for the family and gas in the car, and they want to have a strong economy," she detailed. "Arizonans want to have a strong secure border, and they recognize right now that under President Trump we had both of those things."
Lake continued.
"I am an America First candidate. Not Republican First, Not Democrat First, America First. So, if you want a secure border, safe streets, affordable housing, cheap gas, a return to peace, and prosperity of the Trump years, that's what policies will give them," she added. " I think that's a very compelling offer after the four years of doom and gloom we've seen under Biden-Harris and Ruben Gallego.Arizonans deserve better. That's what I'm offering them."
As a resident of Arizona for over 30 years, Lake argues that the border has only been secured under President Trump. "And only one time did we have an economy that was flourishing for all sectors of the population whether you're Hispanic, Black, White, Asian. It didn't matter."
Lake faces Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego (D) in a closely contested race to fill a senate seat left by Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I). Lake previously ran for Arizona governor in the 2022 election, losing to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs (D).
"The Arizona voters are 100 percent with Trump. I don't need the polls to tell me where the voter is... the people are all saying 'we gotta get Trump back.'"
