The attempt on former President Donald Trump's life in Butler, Pennsylvania, happened one month ago today, and answers remain elusive. Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) reflected the sentiment in a brief post on X (formerly Twitter), calling the lack of transparency "unacceptable."
"It's been one month since the Secret Service failures that resulted in the tragic death of Corey Comperatore and the near assassination of President Trump. It's unacceptable that we still have no answers as to why the rooftop was not secured," said Rep. Biggs.

The week after the shooting, Rep. Biggs grilled former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle during her appearance before Congress, torching her lack of clear answers given.
"As someone who said, 'The buck stops with me, I am going to stay in my job, I am going to give answers to the American people, and I know what happened.' Except you are not going to tell us, you are not going to tell the American people, and you yourself said in an interview that that foments this notion of conspiracy theories. Guess what? When you sit here and repeatedly tell people, 'Hey, I have to wait,' it has frustrated everybody on this committee. Guess what? It undermines your credibility and whether you are really going to get to it," said the Arizona Congressman.
Biggs' colleague Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) has participated in an independent investigation with Representative Cory Mills (R-FL), both men applying their previous military experience to uncover the truth.
More ominously. Rep. Crane suggested the American people will not trust the federal government's investigation of the shooting, as more information has come out revealing the lack of preparation from the Secret Service for Trump's Butler rally.
"And it is another reason that a lot of Americans are not believing the official narrative that came out. And I think as we peel back the onion, you are going to see so many more things where the reality just does not jive with the official narrative that is being put out right now by this Federal government. And that is why individuals like Cory and I need to keep our foot on the gas and make sure we are doing our own investigations," said Crane during an appearance on Fox News.
