Back in May, two Jordanian nationals in the United States illegally had attempted to infiltrate the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia, but were allowed to post bail and were released. Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) spearheaded a furious letter to U.S. Eastern Virginia District Attorney Jessica Aber, demanding answers on why they were released and accusing the Biden Administration of favoring illegal aliens over American citizens.
For additional context provided by the New York Post, the Jordanian pair of illegal aliens, Hasan Yousef Hamdan and Mohammad Khair Dabous were arrested on May 3rd earlier this year after attempting to trespass onto the Quantico base, posing as Amazon delivery drivers and sent to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on a combined $25,000 bond. They posted bond by June and, after a court appearance on July 22nd, were told to reappear for immigration proceedings on a later date.
Rep. Biggs's letter noted that many illegal aliens never show up for their court dates. More egregiously, Hamdan is supposedly on a terror watchlist, making his release all the more troubling.

"It is clear now that this administration values the desires of illegal aliens—including those who intend to commit acts of terror—over the safety of American citizens. Not only does this administration allow suspected terrorists to cross the southwest border and parole them into the country, but even when those same individuals engage in potential terrorist activity, this administration continues to release them into the country based simply on promises to reappear at court hearings," said Rep. Biggs.
As a result, the letter demanded answers to multiple questions from Aber, such as why her office thought it prudent that Hamdan, as a person on the terror watchlist, was released and if they believed there was more to his attempted breach of Quantico.
"The American people are tired of the recklessness of this administration's border and immigration policies and demand that illegal aliens who commit crimes be detained and held accountable," the letter added.
Earlier this August, Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ) was one of several House Republicans who condemned the release of 99 individuals on the terror watchlist into the United States in a statement for Cactus Politics, saying, "Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have welcomed into our country with open arms more than 13 million illegal aliens, including hundreds of known terrorists, many of whom have been released into our communities. Families in America are not safe because of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris."
