Crane Condemns Biden as 'Complete Fool' on World Stage After Russian Ships Appear in Cuba

Russian warships recently appeared off the coast of Cuba for military exercises, placing them dangerously close to the United States as a show of force. Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) commented to Cactus Politics about this show of force by Vladimir Putin, saying America's adversaries are taking advantage of President Biden's weakness on the world stage. Additionally, he derided the President as "a complete fool."

When asked what sort of message the Russians placing their ships near Cuba sends, Rep. Crane replied, "I think it sends the same message that we have seen across the timeline of this administration. It is the exact opposite of peace through strength. Weakness breeds provocation," modifying a familiar phrase used by Representatives Brian Mast (R-FL) and Cory Mills (R-FL).

Additionally, Rep. Crane pointed at other examples than this latest act by Russia, noting, "We see it on our southern border. We now see it in the Middle East. We are seeing it all over the world. We are seeing it with China and Russia and an increase of cyberattacks on our infrastructure. And this is why that saying has been tried and true for so long that strength breeds peace."

We asked the Arizona Congressman if he believed Russia sent these ships to Cuba because they felt like they could, which he suggested was "obvious."

"If you are a bad actor around the world, whether you are Putin, whether you are the Ayatollah in Iran, whether you are Kim Jong Un in North Korea, whether you are President Xi [Jinping] in China, if you want to make moves around the world and increase your standing and your influence globally, when are you going to do it? You are going to do it now when we have a complete fool who is incoherent, cannot put a sentence together, cannot walk across the stage, [and] most certainly cannot command respect around the world as our Commander in Chief. This is the perfect time to do it," Crane continued.

However, he also noted that because it is an election year in the United States, America's adversaries are watching the news suggesting former President Donald Trump has a good chance of returning to the White House, and thus are acting now before he does, "unless something wild and crazy happens."
