House Republicans Rally in Opposition of Universities Supporting Hamas, other terrorist organizations

Washington, D.C.- Republican lawmakers are fiercely responding to recent demonstrations in support of Hamas and related terrorist organizations across American college campuses.

A coalition of over 50 House Representatives has filed a resolution to condemn such support for Hamas’ unprovoked attacks on Israel.

According to the resolution, pro-Hamas demonstrations at Universities may “ lead to the creation of a hostile environment for Jewish students, faculty, and staff.”

Pro-Palestine protests have sprouted across the country, at times turning into violent confrontations with counteracting pro-Israel rallies.

Among the cosponsors of the House resolution were Republican Florida Representatives Aaron Bean, Kat Cammack, Mario Diaz-Balart, Carlos Gimenez, and Scott Franklin.

Floridian congress-members have been among the most active supporters of Israel, actively supporting measures such as sending increased military aid to Israel and levying sanctions on Iran.

Additionally, Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fl) yesterday filed a resolution urging President Joe Biden to rescind the visas of foreign nationals in support of Hamas or other terrorist groups.

Senator Rubio also defended Israel in light of the recent Gaza Hospital missile strike, criticizing Western media for naively believing Hamas’ reports blaming Israel for the debacle.

"This is all part of the Hamas playbook, and of Hezbollah and Iran, for that matter," said Sen. Rubio, adding, "They do not just want to go in and kill a bunch of civilians, slaughter babies, terrible stories that we keep hearing come out, then they want to damage Israel around the world, and so that is why they take advantage of this."

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released evidence following the missile strike suggesting the explosion was caused by a Hamas rocket misfire.
