Recent Hollywood sexual assault and harassment scandals just the beginning

The popular Netflix series, ‘House of Cards,’ is ending amid the allegations that back in 1986, the star of the TV program, Kevin Spacey, sexually harassed then-thirteen-year-old actor Antony Rapp.

Spacey, who was 26 years-old at the time of the incident, tweeted a statement about the incident, apologizing for a “deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.”

"[I]f I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior”-Kevin Spacey

The Spacey revelations comes after Hollywood was set ablaze when a slew of sexual assault and harassment allegations were made against movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

Weinstein, a staunch liberal Democrat, is by all accounts the true embodiment of that creepy old man trying to peek into the girls bathroom.

Hillary Clinton and her Clinton Foundation were dragged into the scandal after it was discovered that Weinstein raised big campaign cash for her presidential bid, and gave to the foundation.

The Clinton Foundation says it will not give back all of the money.

I know what all of you are thinking, but there is no need to inject former President Bill Clinton into this. Wait, I just did.

The Weinstein-Clinton connection has political ‘Mana from Heaven’ for Republicans, who used the sexual harassment and assault allegations against the Hollywood executive to paint the Democratic Party as being the political party of sexual predators.

The call for Clinton and other Democrats to return all monies donated to their respective campaigns from Weinstein was nothing less than swift and persistent.

But are the Weinstein and Spacey scandals the end of the road for seedy Hollywood, or is this just the “tip of the iceberg,” as Florida Attorney General Republican candidate Jay Fant believes it is?

'Far too often, we attach pomp and circumstance to the Hollywood lifestyle. Over the past few weeks, this facade has eroded, and the truth has reared its head. Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey are only the tip of the iceberg. What lies beneath is a bevy of liberal elites who are an accessory to the crime. To quote Nick Caraway from The Great Gatsby: "They're a rotten crowd.”'-Rep. Jay Fant

Fant makes a good point. As more and more actors and actresses within this “rotten crowd” continue to come forward, the magnitude of the scandal will all-but certainly grow. How many people were involved in covering up any sexual assault?

Actress Rose McGowan recently named “HW” as being an individual in Hollywood who raped here.
