Jeff Flake is toxic, so why is Senator Rubio supporting him?

For the most part, Republicans across the nation and especially in Arizona, do no like U.S. Senator Jeff Flake (R) and his past anti-Trump rhetoric.

Flake has been one of the President Trump’s largest detractors, ripping on the president ever since the real estate billionaire entire the 2016 presidential sweepstakes.

Without a question, Flake is persona non grata in the White House, and because of his past disdain towards President Trump, the president has already publicly announced his support for Flake’s Republican Senate primary opponent, Dr. Kelli Ward.

Ward has already hit Flake hard, calling him an "open borders, amnesty globalist."

Flake voting record along with that of another fellow Arizonan, Senator John McCain, who is now all-but the most hated man in Republican politics for single-handedly defeating Obamacare repeal legislation, could be seen as abysmal by Conservative standards.

Yes, President Trump wants to defeat Sen. Flake, and the recent polls show that Flake’s re-election campaign could already be dead on arrival.

Here is Flake’s voting score according to the conservative Heritage Foundation’s “Heritage Action for America”rate card. Notice how Flake is ranked down close to Democrats:

But while Flake’s entire voting record will be called into question, the one issue that could prove to be the proverbial political noose around the senator’s neck is his support and cosponsorship for the 2013 Senate immigration ‘Gang of 8’ bill.

The bill was an utter failure, leaving the door open for amnesty for illegal immigrants. Arizona has a huge problem with illegal immigration, and the crime that stems from it.

Flake’s ‘Gang of 8’ bill speaks to an apparent tone deaf mentality that many ‘establishment’ members of the U.S. Congress have.

But now some of Flake’s senate colleagues are coming to his aide. Considering that his support and cosponsorship of the senate immigration law ended his presidential aspirations, why would Florida Senator Marco Rubio campaign in support of Flake?

We get it. The two are colleagues, but you won’t see Sen. McCain campaigning for Senator Ted Cruz in Texas, so why is Rubio stumping for Flake?

Flake is toxic and Rubio knows it, so why would he indirectly challenge the president?
