Since President-elect Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton this pas general election, it seems as if the entire Democratic Party and progressive movement is besides themselves in anger and sorrow following the history presidential victory.
Democrats are way past shedding tears and “blaming Bush” for Trump’s win, as the bunch is actively trying to undermine the election process.
The hopes of many progressives of pushing for electors to vote for Hillary Clinton over Trump was a failing endeavor as Trump’s victory was sealed nationwide when electors cast their official vote on December 19.
Yes, there is still a recount going on, somewhere, but that tactic is not panning out for them either.
So what are the Democrats to do with Trump?
Remember, Trump is allegedly some racist, anti-Hispanic, anti-immigration, right-wing nut job who has divided the country between white American and brown America.
I appears as if one of the Democratic lines of attack that could turn out to be fruitful is the immigration angle.
Trump’s past statement regarding Mexicans being “rapists” that “bringing drugs” will surely live on for as long as he is president.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
But with all that said, Democrats will most likely use any and all lines of attack to discredit Trump’s victory and leave a smudge on his presidential legacy.
Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego (D), who has been one of the loudest voices of opposition against Trump, recently tweeted pictures of him with some other Hispanic panelists in attendance at a conference where the topic of conversation was how to “resist” the Trump agenda.
We don’t have details on the actual event, just Gallego’s tweet and pictures.
