Waterboarding has made its way back to the news after John McCain said this past Saturday that any attempt to use waterboarding would be challenged in court. Mike Pence, Vice President-elect, was interviewed on Sunday's "Face the Nation" by John Dickerson over McCain's comments and where a Trump administration stands on waterboarding. He did not rule out using the tactic.

"I don't give a damn what the president of the United States wants to do or anybody else wants to do," McCain said. "We will not waterboard. We will not torture."

Mike Pompeo, a Republican representative from Kansas and rumored Trump nomination to be director of the CIA, agrees with Trump that waterboarding should be reinstated. So, what does Pence think about this?

"I have great respect for Sen. McCaine," said Pence to Dickerson. "What I can tell you is that going forward, as he outlined in that famous speech in Ohio, is that a President Donald Trump is going to focus on confronting and defeating radical Islamic terrorism as a threat to this country."

He then concluded by assuring that "we are going to have a president again who will never say what we'll never do."

In the rally that Mike Pence referenced, Trump energized the crowd by saying "would I approve waterboarding? You bet your ass I would - in a heartbeat. And I would approve more than that. Don't kid yourself, folks. It works, OK? It works. Only a stupid person would say it doesn't work."

Last August, the Shark Tank's Javier Manjarres interviewed Trump and asked him about GITMO and interrogation techniques. In the interview, Trump asserted that his administration would use waterboarding.
