Stein and Clinton Campaign Push for Recounts in WI, MI and PA

During the campaign season, Hillary Clinton said that not respecting the results of the election would be a direct threat to our democracy.

Now, Jill Stein and the Clinton campaign are joining forces in an effort to get presidential recounts in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Jill Stein's camp has already raised more than $6 million dollars for the effort, but her website states that "we can only pledge we will demand recounts in WI and MI and support the voter-initiated effort in PA." In addition, she says that "If we raise more money than what's needed, the surplus will also go toward election integrity efforts and to promote voting system reform. This is what we did with our surplus in 2004."

This has also caused people to speculate how that amount of money was raised when the entire Stein campaign only brought in $3,509,477 from contributing donors.

Reince Priebus, incoming chief of Staff for the Trump administration and former chairman of the Republican National Committee, said on "Fox News Sunday" that "this is ridiculous. I think the American people know this is a waste of everybody's time and money. We will win again for the second time."

The always vocal President-elect Trump also voiced his disapproval in a written statement that said "This recount is just a way for Jill Stein, who received less than 1 percent of the vote overall and wasn't even on the ballot in many states, to fill her coffers with money, most of which she will never even spend on this ridiculous recount."

Aside from working on the recount effort, Jill Stein also took some time over the weekend to mourn the death of Dictator Fidel Castro.
