New Voter Registration Totals in Arizona Could Favor Democrats, Or Not

With the Arizona Secretary of State releasing their official report of “unofficial” new voter registration totals, the case can be made that Republicans could be in for a long election night, or not.

119,270 individuals registered to vote this year in Arizona with 45,294 registering online. That is 3.5 percent increase. This is a pretty “yuge” increase in new voters.

While Independents usually make up for most new voter registrants, as was the case this year, Democrats still outpaced Republicans by about 5K.

Arizona Democrats pulled out all the stops, including partnering up with those nifty and saliva-inducing Taco trucks, to push their drive to increase voter registrations.

New voter registration numbers are as follow:

Independents: 50,860

Democrats: 35,564

Republicans: 30,671

Libertarians: 1,744

Green: 431

Depending on how you look at these numbers, Democrats could very well beat Republicans this upcoming general election.

But considering that most Independents tend to be disenfranchised former-Republicans who are fed up with how their former political party has operated over the past several election cycles, there is a pretty good chance that these new Independent voters could come out to vote for Donald Trump.

Here is a nifty little video we found on how Arizonans can register vote. Of course new registrants would have to wait until after the Nov. 8 election.
