How Wealthy Are Arizona’s Members of Congress?

You voted them into office. You see them looking their best on TV voicing their opinions on issues that matter the most you.

And while they tell whomever will listen that they are “fighting hard” for their constituents, have you ever wondered how much your member of Congress is worth?

Contrary to what many Americans believe, not all members of Congress are rich, but not all of them are broke either.

The Top 10 list of mega-millionaire legislators is made up of six Democrats and four Republicans.

The wealthiest member of Congress are Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) with a net worth of $436,500,015, followed by Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO) with $387,864,231 and Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) with his $242,889,630

Arizona’s congressional delegation has a mixed bag of “haves” and “almost-haves” members.

No one in the delegation is in any way broke (except for one) but compared to the aforementioned wealthiest members of Congress, their net worth could be considered as interest earned from one of Rep. Issa’s money market accounts or CD’s.

Here are your representatives from richest to poorest per their 2014 financial disclosure forms. (Source Center for Responsible Politics-Open Secrets)
