So conventional winsdom would dictate that the Republican Presidential nominee would win Arizona every election. But this isint just any election. Arizona is closer than ever, and the Republican nominee has landed in the state a record number of times.
Amist unusual October visits by both nominees, millions of dollars in advertising from both campaigns and outside groups and hundreds of thousands of new voters registered, now the Hillary Clinton campaign in flying in some bigger guns. Winning Arizona this cycle has turned into a real posibility for the Democrats, turning the electoral map on it's head for the Republican nominee making his campaign spend time and money in a state which traditioanlly would be a slam dunk.
Starting with Bernie Sander who today will make two stops in the college towns of Tucson and Flagstaff to rile up young voters who no doubt would rather see him at the top of the Democrat ticket. While Hillary Clinton won the Arizona primary handedly, in Cocochino County, home of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Bernie Sanders won big, and in an election where turnout will be the determining factor, it's important for Hillary to mobilize the Sanders supporters.
on Thursday, Michelle Obama will motivate the Democrat party faithful at a GOTV rally in Phoenix, while Chelsea Clinton will also be stomping for her mother at Arizona State University on Wednesday.
While the Democrats continue their push for Arizona's 11 electoral votes, the Trump campaign has no planned visits to the state at this time.
