Monday night’s first Presidential debate was the most watched debate of all time, and several talking points have been brought up since then that voters have commented on and analyzed.
One of the moments that Hillary Clinton (D) tried to capitalize on was the history between Donald Trump (R) and Alicia Machado, a former Miss Universe from Venezuela who won in 1996 as Donald Trump took ownership of the Miss Universe Pageant.
In the debate, Clinton criticized “sexist” and “misogynistic” behavior from Trump for allegedly “fat shaming” the model about weight she had gained during the time. CNN released footage of the press release in question where the shaming took place, but it didn’t prove to be anything shocking.
Pageantry being a competition relying on physically fit bodies and looks, it was a press release no different than a weigh in for a boxing match or MMA fight.
Around 3 this morning, Trump took to twitter to fire back at detractors, the media, Hilly Clinton and Alicia Machado. The stream of tweets were aimed mostly at a "dishonest media" and at the way Clinton was using Machado for her narrative.
In response to Trump’s twitter stream, Hillary Clinton took to twitter to slam Trump on his temperament.
Firing back, Trump responded in the only way he knows how to.
