A Year in Action: Congressman Fine Secures Millions, Serves Thousands in First 365 Days in Congress

Washington, D.C. – One year ago today, Congressman Randy Fine was sworn in to serve the people of Florida’s Sixth Congressional District. In that short time, he has assembled an exceptional record of measurable results both in Washington and back home.

• Secured more than $18 million in grant funding for 6 critical infrastructure projects across the district
• Responded to more than 102,000 calls and emails from constituents seeking assistance or sharing their opinions on legislation, providing timely guidance and support on a wide range of federal issues
• Hosted over 400 meetings with constituents and stakeholders in his Washington, D.C., office
• Led a total of 123 private tours of the nation’s capital
• Provided hands-on assistance with 1,680 constituent cases, focusing on Military and Veterans Affairs, Social Security and Medicare, and the IRS
• Successfully resolving many of those cases, Congressman Fine successfully returned $9,505,820.14 directly to the people of Florida’s 6th District

Delivering Results Through Legislation

Just hours after being sworn into office, Congressman Fine cast the deciding vote to pass the Working Families Tax Cut, delivering immediate relief for hardworking Americans. This landmark legislation secured real wins for families across Florida, including:

• Eliminating taxes on tips
• Eliminating taxes on overtime
• Expanding the Child Tax Credit, and finally
• Ending the double taxation of Social Security benefits for the vast majority of Florida seniors

Congressman Fine has been an active voice in advancing legislation focused on strengthening national security, supporting veterans, and promoting economic growth. Over the past year, he has sponsored 26 bills and cosponsored 143 pieces of legislation, with four bills already passing committee and now advancing to the House floor for a full vote. 

He is leading efforts through the Contract Our Veterans Act to ensure veteran-owned small businesses are on a fair playing field when competing for federal contracts with the Department of War. Additionally, Congressman Fine has championed the No Welfare for Noncitizens Act, legislation that would bar noncitizens from receiving federally funded welfare benefits—protecting taxpayer dollars and saving an estimated $177 billion.

Perhaps most importantly, Congressman Fine has not missed a single vote, either in committee or on the House Floor, since being elected. He has served as Speaker Pro Tem of the U.S. House of Representatives 13 times, and has served as acting Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

“It has been an honor to fight for the people of Florida’s 6th District in my first year in Congress,” said Congressman Fine. “From securing millions in funding for our communities, to cutting taxes for working families, to returning nearly $10 million to constituents, we are delivering real results. But there is more work to do, and I remain committed to fighting every day for the families, seniors, veterans, and small businesses that make our district strong.”

The Work Is Not Over

While significant progress has been made, Congressman Fine is continuing to fight for the future of Florida’s 6th District. He is currently advocating for more than $60 million in local project funding across all six counties in the district for FY 2027. These investments are focused on improving critical infrastructure, strengthening support for law enforcement and first responders, and protecting the district’s beaches and waterways for future generations.

In addition, Congressman Fine is advancing forward-looking legislation to prepare the next generation for success by equipping students with the skills needed to compete in an AI-driven workforce, while also working to establish national standards to eliminate harmful “forever chemicals” from our waterways and environment—building on efforts already underway in Florida.
