It has been six months since the assassination of Turning Point USA founder and activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, and Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) is commemorating the tragedy on social media.

"Six months ago, one of the world's most influential voices for freedom was forever silenced by an assassin's bullet," Rep. Biggs posted on X. "Cindy and I continue to pray for Erika and her children. We miss you, Charlie. And we'll never stop fighting for the America you believed in during your tragically shortened life."

Rep. Biggs was one of the first Arizona lawmakers to urge for prayer on behalf of Kirk shortly after the shooting in September, writing at the time, "I am praying for Charlie Kirk and the students at the event at Utah Valley University. We are awaiting more information."

In September, when Congress introduced a resolution to honor Kirk and numerous Democrats voted against it, the Arizona congressman condemned the vote.

"Their mischaracterization and their attacks on Charlie Kirk actually shows their ignorance, and it shows their lack of goodwill, and it shows their lack of willingness to bridge a gap there to try to resolve issues, problems, and difficulties we have in the nation," Biggs declared. "It was only a minority of Democrats that voted to condemn this killer and to recognize Charlie Kirk for who he was, and what a shameful thing."

Biggs' commemoration of the six-month anniversary of Kirk's murder comes on the heels of State Senator Jake Hoffman's (R-15) condemnation of Governor Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) vetoing a bill that would have authorized the printing of special memorial license plates for Kirk, which he called "petty" and "nakedly partisan."

"This is why we have to make sure that there is a new governor elected come this November, hopefully," Hoffman added.
