'Buffalo Guy' Jacob Angeli Announces AZ Gubernatorial Bid

Jacob Angeli (or Chansley), better known as "Buffalo Guy" or "the QAnon Shaman," has recently announced his intention to run for Governor of Arizona.

Angeli first gained notoriety during the events of January 6th, 2021, when he sat on the Senate dais in a furred headdress featuring bison horns and red, white, and blue face paint, earning him the associated monikers.

As The Times of London reports, Angeli was sentenced to 41 months in prison for his antics, although President Donald Trump pardoned him and 1,500 others imprisoned for their actions on January 6th upon returning to office after winning the 2024 Election.

However, in a phone interview with the Times, Angeli said he no longer supports Trump, calling his administration "a corrupt disaster" and condemning the White House's continued support for Israel, its handling of the Epstein files, and the recent capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro.

More strangely, in addition to his gubernatorial bid, Angeli filed a $40 trillion lawsuit against countless entities in a bizarre scheme to pay off the national debt, arguing that he is the rightful President of the United States in a 26-page suit written as a single paragraph.

Angeli also claimed that Trump "stole ideas" from him as an advisor, saying, "I was advising the president, whether you know it or not, or believe me or not, I was for, like, a long time. I mean, since before his 2024 election, we're talking way back in 2020."

This is despite the fact that Angeli never worked with Trump.

Unsurprisingly, Chadwick Twillman, another participant in the January 6th riot who was pardoned by Trump, described having a "falling out" with Angeli.

"I just couldn't go along with those false illusions," Twillman told The Times, "By me trying to confront him on some of that, as a friend, to bring him in, he went into further conspiracies. I don't think he's a bad guy, I think he's just a really lost, confused soul."

Angeli has also been suggested to have mental health issues in psychological reports from 2006 and 2021.
