Arizona Republican lawmakers have unveiled a $1.1 billion tax relief plan designed to deliver substantial savings to residents over the next three years. The legislation has drawn strong support from Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ), who is urging immediate action on the measure.

"President Trump and I delivered these tax cuts for families, seniors, and working-class Arizonans. Pass this for Arizona immediately!" Biggs wrote, expressing urgency about bills SB 1106 and HB 2153 currently advancing through the state legislature.

State lawmakers introduced the measures this week as families prepare to file their taxes.

Biggs has been a vocal advocate for tax reduction since his time in Congress. Last July, he issued a statement praising federal tax legislation, explaining how it would benefit Americans.

Dating back to his 2017 vote for the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which helped reduce rates for corporations and residents. "When President Trump signs the One Big, Beautiful Bill into law, he will be extending the historic tax cuts from his Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, and expanding them to reduce taxes on tipped wages, overtime, Social Security, and car loans," Biggs said.

Shaping Federal Legislation

While acknowledging room for improvement, Biggs expressed satisfaction with the direction of the reforms. "The historic tax cuts and reforms in this bill move us in the right direction and will power our economy," he stated.

Additionally, the Arizona GOP highlights continued efforts to reduce tax burdens. Their goal is to fight to help Arizonans keep more of their money, saving taxpayers the burden and refunding without further delay.

In a press release, the House criticized Governor Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) for issuing an executive order that implements the Middle Class Tax Cuts Package, which provides residents with the tax relief the One Big Beautiful Bill offers, and she did not approve of it. However, the GOP recognizes her take on the Republican policy, arguing that her package changes nothing.

Biggs continues to critique gubernatorial competitor, Governor Hobbs, through his advocacy focused on giving individuals greater economic control and promoting prosperity by reducing taxes on families, tipped income, and overtime earnings.

"I will always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with President Trump as he continues to fight the bloated bureaucracy," Biggs declared, framing the effort as part of a larger mission to restore fiscal responsibility in government.
