Crane, House Republicans and Democrats Vote to Release Epstein Files

Much like the deceased and accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein allegedly did to many underage girls, the U.S. House of Representatives has voted almost unanimously on a bill that would "expose" the details found within the now infamous "Epstein Files."

House Democrats have been pressing their Republican counterparts in Congress to release the files, and now, after a vote count of 427-1, every single House Republican, except for three members, voted in favor of releasing the files.

The sole "No" Republican vote was cast by Rep. Clay Higgins. Two other Republicans, Reps. Michael Rulli (R-OH) and Steve Womack (R-AK) join three Democrats in not voting on the measure.

Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX) was one of the three Democrats to vote against the bill.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

"My position has not changed, I will be voting for it," Rep. Anna Paulina Luna affirmed. "But to be clear, I think that the American people understand that right now, everything that the Democrats have tried to say that Trump was somehow implicated is completely false."

“Going back to 2021, on multiple occasions, I have publicly called for the release of the Epstein files, so today’s vote is momentous. Before today’s vote, I sat down with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s heinous crimes to hear their stories. Their courage has been the game changer in helping get us one step closer to full transparency,” said Florida Congresswoman Kat Cammack. “For years, these women have carried the burden of these atrocities while others tried to hide the truth. I am proud to have voted for full transparency because this is about standing with survivors, exposing the truth, and finally ending the decades of cover-ups that protected Epstein and his powerful allies.”

Rep. Eli Crane

“The American people deserve the truth about Jeffrey Epstein’s horrific crimes and how he was able to evade justice for so long. Today’s vote was about full transparency, delivering answers and protecting the victims who were exploited and trafficked," said Rep. Vern Buchanan from Florida. "The Epstein Files Transparency Act ensures unclassified records are released responsibly while safeguarding victims’ privacy. I’ve long fought to crack down on human trafficking and child exploitation, and I’ll continue doing everything I can to protect the most vulnerable.”

Arizona Rep. Eli Crane stated that the vote has "an important step toward justice for the victims."

"A government of the people, by the people, and for the people must provide transparency and accountability. By voting to release records related to Jeffrey Epstein, we are taking an important step toward justice for the victims and consequences for those responsible for these egregious crimes," said Rep. Crane. "At the same time, I believe we must protect the privacy of victims and avoid unfairly damaging the reputations of those who did nothing wrong. I urge the Senate to address these concerns and continue momentum toward transparency and fairness."

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who was one of the loudest voices in support of releasing the Epstein Files, may have just called out President Donald Trump for refusing to take her name off the discharge petition in the House.

“I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for six years for. And I gave him my loyalty for free.” “Let me tell you what a traitor is. A traitor is an American that serves foreign countries and themselves.”

The measure will now go to the Senate where Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R) has already signaled that he would push for a vote in the upper chamber.
