Erika Kirk Named CEO and Chair of Turning Point USA

Erika Kirk has been named the new Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Turning Point USA, following the assassination of her husband and organization founder, Charlie Kirk.

Following the death of Charlie Kirk last week, supporters have shared an outpouring of grief across the country as many mourn his loss and the nation reflects on his impact.

In a statement, Turning Point USA’s board confirmed Erika Kirk’s appointment and called the leadership transition a pivotal moment for the organization.

“It was the honor of our lives to serve as board members at Charlie’s side,” the statement read. “Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests.”

TPUSA

Founded in 2012, Turning Point USA has become a significant force in conservative politics, especially among young Americans, with a focus on limited government, free markets, and traditional values.

Erika Kirk has long been active in conservative and faith-based initiatives. In past episodes of The Charlie Kirk Show, Kirk described his wife as politically even more conservative than himself.

“By far. It’s not even close,” he explained. “I am a moderate compared to Erika.”

The board emphasized that Erika’s leadership will build on the foundation her husband created and carry the mission forward.

“All of us at Turning Point USA have a special role in carrying Charlie’s mantle and completing his vision of bringing us all closer to our Lord and fostering a prosperous country for generations to come,” the board shared. “The attempt to destroy Charlie’s work will become our chance to make it more powerful and enduring than ever before.”

The statement closed with a message of support for the new leadership during a time of tragedy and transition:

“May God bless Erika, the Kirk family, and the entire team at Turning Point USA.”
