Israel Fends Off Continued Missile Attacks

Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) recently reported missile fire from Yemen targeting Israeli civilians across Jerusalem.

The missile attacks mark the latest act of aggression from Houthi terrorists against Israel.

The Houthis, an Iran-backed Yemeni terror group, have been targeting US, Israeli, and allies’ ships since Hamas’ October 7th, 2023 attacks.

Houthi forces have orchestrated drone and missile attacks against US military and commercial ships and increasingly directly attacked Israel’s civilian population.

President Donald Trump recently signed a ceasefire agreement with the Houthis after the latter pledged to cease targeting ships traversing the red sea.

While the Houthis have since honored their agreement with the US, they have continued to fire missiles against Israel.

Jerusalem media, for example, reported that the latest Houthi attacks featured two ballistic missiles being launched toward Israeli civilians less than three hours apart.

Houthi officials reportedly claimed attacks on Israel’s civilian population will continue.

The Houthis’ continued aggression against Israel has prompted rebuke from American lawmakers, some of whom have requested President Trump to respond in defense of Israel.

“I am very sad and disappointed to hear that after all the efforts to deal with the Houthis, they are still shooting ballistic missiles at our friends in Israel,” said Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

Senator Graham further urged President Trump to hold the Houthis “accountable” for attacking Israel.

“I appreciate President Trump trying to pursue peace on multiple fronts, however we must hold bad actors accountable when they defy these efforts,” continued Graham.

The US has yet to respond to the Houthis’ continued strikes against Israel, but some sources claim this could change in the near future.

Until then, however, Israel will have to continue fending off the Houthis’ attacks alone as they intensify operations against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
