Biggs Mocks Democrats' Calls for 'Street Fight' on Spending, 'Just Another Example of TDS'

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) mocked House Democrats' recent calls for a "street fight" in response to President Donald Trump's spending freezes in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Bottom Line, saying it was merely "just another example of [Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS)]."

House Democrats convened a Zoom meeting Wednesday to strategize how they would counter President Trump's spending freezes. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) "told his troops to pursue all avenues of opposition—and take that fight to the streets, according to several Democrats who participated in the meeting," as per The Hill.

Similarly, Representative Jared Huffman (D-CA) said, "House Democrats are now fully engaged. The bell has rung. I think we see this for the constitutional test that it is, and we're going to be aggressively pushing back. Leader Jeffries described it as a legal fight, a legislative fight, and a street fight. And I couldn't put it better."

Rep. Biggs suggested the Democrats' mass mobilization was a response to how "President Trump has been so effective so quickly right out of the gate. They are not used to having a leader of either party, seeing somebody who is capable, resolved, resolute, able to get this stuff done."

Additionally, Rep. Biggs further noted that Trump's spending freezes will affect Democrats' pet policies, saying they are "afraid of losing their DEI woke programs and the transgenderism which they have really appealed to."

More than anything, the Arizona Congressman continued, "You are seeing the entire political light of the world that is bending to Donald Trump. And the Democrats? This is just another example of TDS, right?"

Biggs previously mocked the Democrats' spending freeze hysteria on X (formerly Twitter), saying, "The Left's meltdown over President Trump's funding freeze is nothing more than a scare tactic. OMB has been crystal clear: Social Security, VA benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and countless other program[s] won't be affected. Americans have had enough of the Left's lies."

Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) responded to Rep. Biggs's post, adding, "Exactly. Their fake outrage has been exposed. Adults are back in charge, and the American people know it."
