SCOTTSDALE, AZ—With Arizona’s U.S. Senate race between Kari Lake and Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego being billed as one of the most widely-watched 2024 senatorial races in the country, both candidates are starting to focus on some of the issues that are affecting everyday Americans, including Energy demands across the nation.

During an exclusive interview with Cactus Politics, Mrs. Lake reiterated her support for the “America First energy policies that former President Donald Trump put in place but were later scrapped by current President Joe Biden.

Lake believes that if elected, President Trump would reintroduce his  “Drill Baby Drill” energy policies, policies she believes “will bring us world peace.”

Does Texas have a constitutional right to defy Supreme Court on protecting its border?

When asked about Rep. Gallego’s support for the Biden energy policy, Lake called the congressman “Biden’s Mini Me.”

“This a guy who is so out of touch. He is Biden’s Mini Me. Literally Biden’s Mini me,” said Lake, adding, “Ideologically they are one in the same. Ruben Gallego has voted  100% of the time with Joe Biden. He approved of Joe Biden’s energy policy, which basically made our gas prices skyrocket.”

Lake’s assertion that Gallego votes with President Biden “100% of the time” appears to be accurate and accuses Gallego of wanting to “raise gas prices” and  “tack on an extra dollar per gallon” of gas.

In addition, the progressive League of Conservation Voters has given Gallego a 100% approval rating for his votes that are in line with their policies, including his opposition to several pro-energy exploration legislative measures.

Lake also warned that pushing Electric Vehicles over gas-powered vehicles was a recipe for disaster, saying that those very same EV that would “be made by Chinese companies and the CCP in China,” would decimate American carmakers,” adding that the “Trump-era energy polices” needed to be brought back.
