Arizona Republicans Cheer Supreme Court Ruling Keeping Trump on State Ballots

The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Colorado and other states could not remove former President Donald Trump from their state ballots, saying the authority was invested solely in Congress. Arizona Republicans celebrated the ruling on X (formerly Twitter), calling the ruling a major victory for the embattled Republican candidate.

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) said, "This is a tremendous win for our constitutional republic. We can't let these radical Marxists take over our election systems and disenfranchise millions of American voters."

Representative Paul Gosar (R-AZ) was far more brief in his reaction, calling the Supreme Court decision "9-0! Yuge!," imitating Donald Trump's well-known pronunciation of "huge."

Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) retweeted Donald Trump Jr.'s tweet about the ruling, saying, "Dems tried to interfere in the 2024 election. The Supreme Court shut them down."

Senate candidate Kari Lake praised the Supreme Court as having "formed a united front against this tyrannical attempt by the radical left to disenfranchise the American people," and further predicted Trump will "win BIG [emphasis hers] in November."

Finally, Abe Hamadeh, who is running to replace Representative Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) in Arizona's 8th Congressional District, said that while he was "pleased with the ultimate outcome – the amount of time, money, and energy wasted on this Marxist endeavor is deeply concerning."

"The fact our legal system is being weaponized like this in the first place shows its vulnerabilities. Americans will vote for TRUMP," Hamadeh added.

The Supreme Court's ruling will undoubtedly energize Republicans as November comes closer, and Arizona's remain some of the most enthusiastic.

Lake recently implored voters to "go beast mode" and "vote like your life depends on it" in an appearance on Real America's Voice, saying she has "a fire in my belly to take back our country, and we all need to have the same energy."

Similarly, Hamadeh told Cactus Politics that the 2024 Election "is not an election of policy, this is an election of courage," because "Our country is being stolen from us, quite frankly."
