The illegal immigration world is going to get turned on its head with President Trump’s latest remark that he will end “birthright citizenship” or “Anchor babies.”

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution reads that any and “all person born or naturalized” in the U.S. and “subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

Trump said he will pen and executive order stopping the long-running legal loophole that many illegal immigrants have exploited.

Does Texas have a constitutional right to defy Supreme Court on protecting its border?

The term “Anchor baby” was born (pun intended) and is widely used pro-legal immigration activists who say that illegal immigrants or aliens, purposely get pregnant, and cross over into the U.S. so that their baby automatically becomes a citizen.

Trump made the statement to “Axios on HBO.”

“Under current policy, anyone born in the U.S. – regardless of whether they are delivered by a non-citizen or undocumented immigrant – is considered a citizen. The interpretation has been blamed for so-called 'birth tourism' and chain migration,” this according to a Fox News story.
