For weeks we've been hearing rumored names that are being considered for the Secretary of State position in the upcoming Trump administration.

Mayor Rudy Giuliani, General David Petraeus, Governor Mitt Romney, Senator Bob Corker, Ambassador John Bolton and even Michael Bolton are all reportedly being considered for the role. Well, the last one might not be under consideration, but one new name is interesting to hear.

The Associated Press is reporting that former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. is also being considered for the role, and he happens to be a third cousin of Mitt Romney, another contender who's met twice with the President-elect over the position. Like Romney, Huntsman was also a candidate for the Republican nomination in 2012.

Governor Huntsman speaks Mandarin and was previously an ambassador to China.

President-elect Donald Trump kicked off his "Thank You Tour" on Thursday with a stop in Ohio where he mentioned that he would be announcing several appointed positions next week.

Will the Secretary of State position be announced?

As unorthodox as President-elect Trump has been, there's no way of knowing for sure. What is certain is that the person he picks will definitely have people talking.
