Rios Announces Democrat Committee Assignments for AZ House

Democrat Minority Leader Rebecca Rios (LD27) has announced the committee assignments House Democrats will serve in during the upcoming legislative session, coming a few days after House Speaker JD Mesnard announced the Republican assignments.

Some of the highlights include Rep. Mark Cardenas (LD19) as the ranking member on the Ways and Means Committee and Lela Alston (LD24) as the ranking member of the Appropriations Committee. The Democrats have many incoming freshmen, some of them will serve as the ranking memebers on other committees (see below).

Democrats also recorded a message to their supporters from the newly elected leadership team for the house Democrats (video below). The full committee assignments are as follows:
