President Trump called former FBI Director James Comey a liar after he answered over 200 questions with “I don’t recall,” or “I don’t know.”

Comey’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee last Friday is reminiscent to many testimonies given by individuals who look to keep from answering question due to the fear of self-incriminating themselves.

Comey agreed to testify if the hearing was closed and the transcripts were released 24 hours later.
"245 times he said 'don't remember, don't recall, don't know.' The biggest takeaway for me was the 'don't know' part. Specifically, he didn't know much about Christopher Steele, the guy who used his work product, the dossier, to get the warrant to spy on the Trump campaign," Jordan said. "Here's the key player, the guy who wrote the document that was the basis for getting the warrant, and he didn't know anything about it."

Here is an exchange Comey had with Rep. Trey Gowdy:

Gowdy: "Do you recall your March 2017 testimony in an open setting before the House Intelligence Committee?"
Comey: "In a general way."
Gowdy: "It was when I believe the Bureau first confirmed the existence of a counterintelligence investigation."
Comey: "Okay. I remember that. I remember generally it was in March, but sure. Gowdy: Do you recall in what way you used the word 'criminal' and at what point in your testimony?"
Comey: "Without looking at the testimony, I don't."
Gowdy: "Do you recall Rod Rosenstein's memo appointing special counsel?"
Comey: "No, I don't."
Gowdy: "What is the difference between collusion and conspiracy?"
Comey: "I don't know because I don't know what collusion means. It's a term I haven't heard in my career in the Justice Department, so I don't know."

Comey was in New York City on Sunday, where he told Americans that everyone should use their “every breathe” to defeat Trump in 2020, adding that Democrats need to coalesce support behind a presidential candidate who could defeat Trump, because “they have to win.”

"All of us should use every breath we have to make sure the lies stop on January 20, 2021," Comey told an audience at the 92nd Street Y on New York City's Upper East Side. He all but begged Democrats to set aside their ideological differences and nominate the person best suited to defeating Trump in an election.

"I understand the Democrats have important debates now over who their candidate should be…but they have to win. They have to win."(CNN)
